At the end of 2023 I worked a few months packing orders in the warehouse. On my way to work each morning I passed an old, overgrown cemetery. This got me thinking about my own mortality, and certain questions came up; How are we connected to The Divine? What is consciousness? Where do we go after we die? I spent several days sitting in the graveyard reflecting upon these very real questions. To represent these emotions experienced, Quartz being the master healer, was the perfect stone to use. Returning home at night, and in the moonlight (especially walking down dark, country lanes) I used Moonstone to symbolise this and finally, Rose Quartz to represent “Love”. This is the strongest emotion a human can experience…the people that were in these graves, were too, once loved and I wanted to show that in this collection.
